Gambassi Terme is located in the hills overlooking the Val d'Elsa, in the province of Florence, the Spas of Gambassi were built in 1974 by the will of the municipality to exploit the curative properties of Water Salsa di Pillo, who were known for centuries.

The thermal characteristics of the waters are those of natural spring water with high mineralization with good and curative qualities determined by the particular geological structure of the spring. The temperature of surface water is 14.6°C. The water of the spa Gambassi is a water suitable for various disorders of the digestive system, it plays an effective detoxification, on anti-inflammatory diseases like gastritis and colitis, laxative and is particularly important in hypotensive states.

The spa is located in the municipal park full of trees, the building of the spa was completely renovated between 2002 and 2003.
