SACRED ART MUSEUM

The museum, housed in rooms on the first floor of the rectory of the church of San Pietro in Bossolo, preserves and exhibits much of the artistic heritage of the municipality of Tavarnelle, grouped by location and origin and consists of paintings, furniture and liturgical and sacred vestments that cover the entire period from the thirteenth to the eighteenth century.

Type of objects: paintings on wood, canvas paintings, jewelery, vestments, sacred, sacred vestments.

Important works: Meliore, Madonna with Child, 1270-1280. You can also admire the works of Ugolino di Nerio, Lorenzo di Bicci, Rossello Jacopo Franchi and a large number of tables made by Neri di Bicci.

EMILIO FERRARI MUSEUM OF COUNTRY CULTURE 

The museum displays a collection of tools, utensils and tools woork that document the performance of productive activities and the small craft associated with the rural Chianti and a large group of utensils and containers of copper mainly of the nineteenth century, from all sources. In the first room we found the panel carpenter, the cobbler, the blacksmith and on the ceiling tools to copper home user. In the second room the panel of peasant and instruments on the life of the peasant house. The collection is on loan to the Pro Loco of San Donato in Poggio by heirs of Genovese engineer Emilio Ferrari, to which is entitled the museum.
