Montemassi is a charming medieval village located in the municipality of Roccastrada along the road connecting Roccastrada with Massa Marittima and Gavorrano, about 15 km from the Giuncarico exit of Aurelia, the village is situated on the slopes of a hill full of olive trees, at 140 meters above sea level.
The small village of houses, is dominated by the Castle of Montemassi, an imposing medieval fortress perched atop the hill.
