Beaches to visit in the municipality of Portoferraio:

The coast from Portoferraio to Capo d'Enfola: The White Beaches.

The entire stretch of coast between Portoferraio and the Capo d'Enfola is the area of famous Spiagge Bianche (White Beaches) of the Elba, this is a wonderful stretch of coastline where cliffs alternate with small but picturesque beaches, mostly white pebble, with a sea of beautiful colors.

Le Viste: beach located behind the port of Portoferraio, in front of Scoglietto island, sand and gravel.

Lido delle Ghiaie: white pebble beach near the town of Portoferraio, known for its white stones and the possibilities of wonderful diving excursions.

Cala dei Frati: white pebble beach long about 100 meters only accessible by sea.

Padulella: white pebble beach, with on one side some spectacular white rocks.

Capo Bianco: beautiful beach long 400 meters, dominated by white cliffs, to reach it you must descend a staircase of 40 steps.

Sottobomba: other fine gravel beach in a beautiful natural setting.

Seccione: beautiful beach of white gravel, a little hard path, you should get off (and then back) 120 steps, but very beautiful landscape.

Acquaviva: small beach with a pine forest behind.

Sorgente: small beach of white and smooth pebbles in a beautiful landscape of rocks and cliffs.

Sansone: beautiful and charming little white pebble beach, backed by white cliffs overlooking the sea, the path to it is a bit difficult but the view is wonderful.

Capo d'Enfola: along the promontory of Capo d'Enfola there are little coves often accessible only by sea, while in the isthmus which connects the head to the rest of the island is a small pebble beach.

Gulf of Viticcio and Biodola:

Gulf of Viticcio: in the small bay of Viticcio are some lovely coves between the rocks like that of Pinetina.

Gulf of Biodola: Here there are the two beaches of Biodola and Scaglieri; the first, Biodola, is one of the most famous beaches of Elba, 600 meters long with golden sand, beautiful, full of life and tourist facilities; the second, Scaglieri is an extension of Biodola, and is 150 meters long.

Gulf of Portoferraio:

Bagnaia: a bay at the eastern end of the Gulf, sand and gravel, equipped.

Ottone and Ottonella: two beaches long and narrow, in the extreme east of the gulf of Portoferraio, side by side, gravel and sand, next to Villa Ottone.

Magazzini: gravel and sand beach situated in the small village of Magazzini, equipped.

Schiopparello: long, narrow beach of gravel and sand, is located near Magazzini.

Le Prade: beautiful beach of sand and gravel, rather deep, located at the center of the southern Gulf of Portoferraio.
