Borgo a Mozzano (7,300 inhabitants (2008), 97 meters above sea level) is a village which lies along the river Serchio in Lucca province, Lucca is about 21 km from Borgo a Mozzano. 

The main attraction of the village is the famous Ponte della Maddalena or the Devil's Bridge (Ponte del Diavolo), a medieval bridge that crosses the Serchio at the end of the village going towards the Garfagnana. The bridge is an impressive building for its beauty, formed by arches of various sizes is a classic medieval bridge that was built in the fourteenth century. 

Borgo a Mozzano over the bridge also has other interesting buildings, among them the Oratorio del Crocefisso (Oratory of the Crucifix), the former convent of San Francesco, the former convent of the Suore Teresiane, the parish of San Jacopo and the Palazzo del Vicario, a Renaissance building that now houses the municipality. Two km from Borgo a Mozzano in the locality Caturegli is the fifteenth-century Villa Guinigi.
