The Spas of Tuscany: the region richest in spas

Tuscany, among the Italian regions, is without doubt the most rich in spas, just to mention some popular locations in the world as Montecatini Terme, Chianciano Terme, Saturnia. This region is in fact rich in deposits of thermal water that make it together with Emilia Romagna and Veneto, the most important Italian region for spas. Tuscany is a region that boasts the highest number of thermal water facilities in Italy, indeed, in the region there are 24 spas. The Spas of Tuscany are hyperthermal waters whose temperatures range between 25°C in Montecatini and 54°C of the Terme di San Filippo.

The Spas of Tuscany, already known at the time of Emperor Augustus, have been among the best known since ancient times for the quality and diversity of their waters which made them famous all over the world for the prevention and treatment of numerous pathologies: Rheumatism, ENT, Respiratory, Gastrointestinal, Vascular, Dermatological, Urinary, Gynecological, Respiratory Rehabilitation.

Modern Tuscan spas offer not only, Bathing and Hydrotherapy treatments but also welfare services and health treatments (massage, sauna, Turkish bath), performed in structures of great beauty and high quality services, with innovative wellness centers spa. The Spas in recent decades have become a major tourist attractions thanks also to the beauty of the landscape where some of them are.
